Closing The Curtain

Kate Moss' final collection for Topshop will very soon be revealed. Here are the promo photos. While she isn't quite uncovering a real shocking finale for the design partnership, the new collection is seamlessly transcendent of Moss and her boho chic style. It's modern hippie to the core. I'm loving the capelets, uses of feathers and fringe, the paisley/floral prints and the very moody allure in the advertising campaign.

Boycrazy

Really excited about a new Showtime comedy called Boycrazy, being co-produced by the creators of Californication. It's based on the blog by Alexi Wasser, http://imboycrazy.com/ and follows the adventures of a young 20-something in LA, searching for - screams the title - boys. I started reading up on her writings and it's quite clever. A sort of how-to guide it comprises the postmodern feat of wading through the dating circle and like Sex and The City was way back when, is extremely UNAFRAID and telling of ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you'd want to hear. I'm really curious to see how Showtime pulls this off - this is so promising and has the potential to be the new SATC but in Los Angeles and following a younger woman. Now this might not be up every guy;s alley, but I personally think it has the potential to be. If certain guys can watch Gossip Girl (I know some do), then they can for sure enjoy the funny and cheeky storylines of a wild lady who could probably lend them all a few pointers. Very excited!

Alexi Wasser, candid, witty and uncensored.

La bella Monica Bellucci

Monica Bellucci stripped down for Italian Vanity Fair. The beauty posed in the nude with new daughter, LĂ©onie, and looks like a goddess on the cover.

Alexander McQueen Skull Leggings

Get leggy with McQueen. His skull leggings are all at once eccentric and chic. The grey catacomb knit goes for around 500-600 retail which is out of my student budget, but I'm guessing another brand out there will soon replicate them for much less. When that happens, I'll be the first to don them.

This woman is still a golden goddess.

GO BAD FOR BALMAIN

There is nothing bad about Balmain's collection for Spring 2011, but it's completely BADASS. The acid-washes, the use of metallics, rocker studs and safety pins, distressed leather and torn American flag prints make any lady a Rolling Stone. One of the most impressive ready-to-wear shows, I absolutely love what the design house has done. And I want that rocker electric red, studded moto jacket!

Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry

Yes, another celeb turning to fashion, hopefully it will channel Winehouse in a better light than the cracked out shenanigans she's known for. Looks like she's going for her signature beehive and 50s gingham trademarks. Reminds me a lot of something the pink ladies in Grease would wear...

Make me a 70s disco queen

The 70s wide leg pant

Bras - no longer undergarments

Showing a little bra ain't a crime these days. Although I would advise against head-gearing your C-cup. ;)

Ironic

Christina Aguilera, seen here in dominatrix bridal wear...she just filed for divorce. The photo is still fabulous.

Movie To Buzz About

Starring Natalie Portman, Vincent Cassel and Mila Kunis, BLACK SWAN is sure to not disappoint. It received tremendous buzz at Cannes. Watch the trailer now. Looks to me like a mix of female melodrama with horror/thriller, all set around a ballerina rivalry. CANNOT WAIT. And the poster design is very contemporary cool reminding me of the expressionist art period.
