As predicted, Black Swan is an aesthetic success and turning into a commercial one as well. The indie film is playing in select theaters only FOR NOW and I noticed the amount of showings are being increased daily as people flock to see the stunner. Amazingly enough it has garnered a hit audience for the under 50, while older viewers don't seem to appreciate the horror hybrid as much. Perhaps the shock value is too overwhelming for older crowds.
Either way, I saw the piece and it is a MASTERWORK -- this is my vote for Best Picture and Best Actress (thus far). It has haunted me for days now, but in a good way.
