Chanel channels the Byzantine empire in their latest collection. Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by the world-famous mosaic portrait of Theodora, the Empress of the Byzantine Empire. The regal updos, avant-garde makeup simply highlighted the exquisite pieces on display. I am obsessed with a see-through metallic floral gown seen below. The layers of gold loose necklaces and jeweled sandals are an added bonus. Lagerfeld prepared quite the collection!
